A two-day IN PERSON Acting Intensive with Alex Collins & Kurt Yue!

Ready to elevate your craft and walk away with footage for your reel? Join us for this exciting 2-day workshop where you’ll rehearse, perform, and film a professional-quality scene with a partner. By the end, you’ll not only gain invaluable experience working in a mock on-set atmosphere —you’ll also take home footage you can proudly add to your demo reel.

 How It Works:

• Once you’re fully registered, Houde School of Acting will contact you for your age range and either a headshot or an updated chest-up photo.

• You’ll be assigned a role, a scene partner, and receive your scene at least one week in advance so you can prepare like you’ve booked the job.

• Come set-ready, just as you would if you were stepping onto a professional set. (hair, makeup, costumes, and props are responsibility of the actor based on the requirements of their scene)

• Day 1: 9-5pm (Lunch 1-2pm) Dive deep into your scene with Alex Collins through focused rehearsal and adjustments.

• Day 2: 9-5pm (Lunch 1-2pm) Step on “set” with Kurt Yue to film your scene, complete with mics and a two-camera setup.

• Walk away with footage you can add to your reel!

 Meet Your Instructors:

Alex Collins – A 22+ year SAG-AFTRA actor, teacher, and industry consultant, Alex has built a career across film, television, and theatre, working in both the Los Angeles and Atlanta markets. He is the creator of The Approach, a teaching framework that empowers actors to take ownership of their craft and careers with clarity and confidence. Alongside his extensive on-set experience, Alex has coached and mentored actors worldwide, helping them deliver authentic, connected performances while navigating the business side of the industry. With a passion for truth in storytelling, Alex brings both expertise and enthusiasm into every classroom and set he steps onto. You can find Alex in Stargirl, Manhunt, Lovecraft Country, Cobra Kai, and The Accountant.

Kurt Yue – Known for his roles in Will Trent, Cobra Kai, Sweet Magnolias, Insatiable, Dynasty, and blockbuster films like Venom and Black Widow, Kurt is both a seasoned actor and an in-demand on-camera coach. He’s also the creator of the popular YouTube channel Acting Career Center, which has guided thousands of actors around the world in navigating both the craft and the business of acting. In addition, Kurt is the founder of Actors Growth Lab, a private online community offering weekly Zoom events, career resources, self-guided training, and a supportive space for actors to grow their film and TV careers. With his unique perspective as both performer and teacher, Kurt specializes in equipping actors with practical, on-set tools to shine in front of the camera.
