This Package Includes 1 Online Meisner Class Per Week For 4 Weeks (4 Classes)

• Your zoom link will be sent out by the first of the month. Please flag/star the email or copy and paste the link to your notes.

• You do not need to attend every class however, there are no make-up classes for any class missed.

• Please arrive on time for each class or you may not be able to get into the room as our teachers are busy teaching.

About the Meisner Technique:

An interdependent series of exercises that build upon one another. The more complex work supports a command of dramatic text. Meisner students work on a series of progressively complex exercises to develop an ability to improvise, to access an emotional life, and finally to bring the spontaneity of improvisation and the richness of personal response to text.

As the world continues to change, the acting world is of course, changing with it. Auditions are now online and callbacks are online as well. A virtual callback?! This is new territory for all actors from beginners to veterans. How can we connect with our partner across a computer screen?

With that in mind, we have created a new online class called Meisner Online, a class where you will learn and practice how to connect, read behavior and be present online just like you do in-person.

While the Meisner Technique is typically an in-person, face to face technique, we have created a way to do this remotely online.

Thanks to technology like zoom and zoom’s breakout rooms, we will simulate an in-person Meisner class completely online giving you the ability to be hypersensitive in an online setting. This also allows actors to continue honing their acting craft while safely in the comfort of their own home.

This weekly class will be taught by either Jessica Houde-Morris or Diana Frankhauser.

Bonus Class

With the purchase of this class you will also receive weekly Studio Hour sessions.

Studio Hour sessions are on Wednesdays from 4-6PM (EST). This time is set aside for additional practice and for students to ask any questions that require personal attention (such as developing Activities, or practicing Emotional Preparation).

These sessions are hosted by Diana Frankhauser

Houde School of Acting does not offer refunds if you drop/cancel a class or workshop. If you drop a class no later than a full week before the first day of class we will offer a full credit for the following month of class.

Due to the format of the classes, there are no make-up classes. We encourage you to attend as many classes as possible but don't worry if you miss a class. You can pick up your studies where you left off in your last class.
